U.S. securities regulator, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), approved the first U.S.-listed exchange traded funds (ETFs) to track bitcoin, on January 10, 2024. The SEC<\/a> approved 11 applications and the companies are expected to begin trading “in fierce competition for market share,” according to news reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The news seems to have come out of the blue, considering cryptocurrency is more often in headlines for confusion about what it is, Ponzi scheme scandals, warnings from experts\u2014you name it. A cloud of uncertainty and setbacks has followed crypto since the first (Bitcoin) launched in 2009, and has accelerated since 2017 when crypto gained popularity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revolutionary changemakers Jupiter<\/a> and Uranus<\/a> are marching together through inflexible Taurus until May 25, 2024. This event only happens every 14 years, and hasn\u2019t occurred in Taurus since 1941.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Jupiter-Uranus conjunctions<\/a> shake up business as usual, chaos ensues when they bring this energy into the Taurean bullpen. Jupiter and Uranus are two of the sky\u2019s most progressive and expansive planets that push for change at any cost. By contrast, Taurus seeks security and resists change, holding firm to the status quo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jupiter and Uranus began their alliance on May 16, 2023, when Jupiter moved into Taurus<\/a> for a 12-month journey, its first time here since mid-2012. Uranus has been in Taurus<\/a> since May 15, 2018 (and remains in residence until April 25, 2026).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 15, 2023, a mere month after Jupiter entered Taurus, behemoth Blackrock filed an SEC application for a Bitcoin ETF. And seven months later, on January 10, 2024, the SEC approved 11 applications<\/a>, including Blackrock’s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SEC approval allows investors to buy shares in a fund that uses bitcoin as its underlying asset\u2014a Uranian\/Aquarian makeover to the financial system that we\u2019ve been tracking since 2017. Unlike the “Wild West” of the early blockchain, institutional funds like Blackrock will now be regulated according to established financial structures. Longtime investors should feel more secure entering the crypto market with well-known protections offering transparency about a cryptocurrency’s performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What’s next in the stars for bitcoin?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Developments could feature a “universal” digital currency adopted by several nations at once and unveiled at the Summer 2024 Paris Olympics. The sudden spike in the market value of other cryptocurrency will provide the next wave of generational wealth and funding for large, Silicon Valley-funded technology and generative AI projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The AstroTwins also suggest keeping an eye on the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction on April 20, 2024. On that date, trailblazing ideas that seem too “out there” could now be right on time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
